According to French Canadian records, La Marguerite, a 17th century French fourth class warship, was employed to carry my ancestor, Jullien Mercier, along with many more French “pilgrims” to the area of Quebec, New France, in the year of 1647. Hear I am in sunny Southern California some 376 years later. Whoda thunk it?
