Among the warrant officers of the British third-rate ship of the line Eagle (1679) your website lists the boatswain William Mander, who was dismissed from his post by a court martial held on 8 October 1697. However, William Mander acted as boatswain not aboard the ship of the line Eagle, but aboard the advice boat Eagle. This is clearly stated in the sentence of the court martial that dismissed him and that can be found in TNA, ADM 1/5259. I have the sentence before me.
