On 12 October 1806, the Cassard, Captain Faure, sank the Kitty, Captain William Murdoch, British, 395 tons, out of Liverpool, carrying 22 9-pounders. The very large crew was taken off and sent in to Brest.
Source: Service Historique de la Défense, cartons Yj29 and 30.
Included in the crew were the Black American seamen: Christopher Page and Isaac Connell.
Other Americans on the crew were:
