There is a wron link from BON GENIE to that PIONEER. She should be HMS PIONEER.

>The schooner PIONEER,. Adams , bound hence to Havana , was drove ashore on York Spplitl in the snow stor on 20th inst. Crew and part of cargo saved.

Charleston Courier of 8 Jan 1814
The Baltimore letter-of -Marque reported to be ashore on Egg Island , proves to be the PIONEER ,. Caprt. Adams:She is enteirely lost.

It seems that there was another PIONEER of 17 guns
destroyed 31 Dec 1813 by HMS Sophia in CHesapeake
170 men.

Unfortunately actually no data on her.

31 Dec 1813 Sophie16 brig sloop Commander Nicholas Lockyer destroyed the U.S. privateer Pioneer17 schooner in the Chesapeake on a cruise out of Baltimore.
