London, 16 November 1751: Yesterday the Delawar, outward-bound for India, sailed from Gravesend for the Downs, from thence to proceed on her voyage the first fair wind. [Kentish Post, 20 November 1751]

London, 31 October 1751:Capt Hutchinson is appointed Captain of the Goldolphin Indiaman, bound for Coast and Bay, in the room of Capt John Stevens, resigned. Also Captain Dockmingue [sic] is appointed to be the Captain of the Delawar, in the room of Capt William Stevens who has resigned, being bound for Madegascar and Fort St George. [Kentish Post, 2 November 1751]
