Jugement du Conseil de Prises du 15/11/1696 , declarant de bonne prise le corsaire le "Nicholson" , appartenant a plusieurs marchands de Virginie, pourvu d'une commission du Prince d'Orange du 03/08/1695 pour armer en course , pris apres combat le 21/09/1696 à 28 Lieues au large des Sorlingues ,par les sieurs Patard de Launay , Deshais de la Grandmaison , Potier des Chesnais , de la Ville-Huchet et Trochon de la Moinerie, commandant les frégates le "Jeune Phelypeaux" , le "Duc du Maine" , le "Fidèle" , le "Faucon" et le "Sincere" .
