The following ships had arrived at the Cape previous to he sailing of the fleet under the convoy of the Endymion:-
The Porcher; Admiral Rayner; and Cornwall, Bligh, from London. Alexander (an American), from China; Prince William Henry, Basket; Thetis; Sir Edward Hughes; and Castle Eden, from Madras. Lucy Maria, from Bengal; Union, from Bencoolen; and Surat Castle, and Hope, from Bombay. [London Courier, 24 October 1801]

My ancestor, James Pittullo Esq II sailed on this ship 1795-96. It was said it left Portsmouth and traveled to 3 other places before arriving in Saugor, Bengal India.
It is said that he deserted his ship shortly after its arrival.

This ship is mentioned as a part of the British flotilla that exiled the people of Garifuna from St Vincent (Eastern Caribbean) to Roatan in 1797. It was captured by the Spaniards, brought to Trujillo in Honduras, then recaptured by the Brits before it went on the reef outside Roatan and sank (source: Black Carib Wars, author: Christopher Taylor)

I am trying to see the ship's , Prince William Henry, list of
passengers with Captain Scoufe on or around April,12, 1787. It sailed into New York then. My ancestor, Baron Poellnitz with his daughter and son were on that ship. I am trying to find all the information I can regarding them on that voyage.

Anything, you could find, I would greatly appreciate.

Thanks, Karen Tate
