Bound for the Rio de la Plata . During the Confederation War , for nearly 8 months , he participated in the blockade of Buenos Aires (Argentina) by a French fleet , which resulted in the obtaining of the status of the most favored nation . It then passes Cape Horn , stops at Valparaiso before reaching the Mangareva Islands (Oceania) , the Marquesas and Sandwich Islands , then Tahiti .
