Letter dated July 30 1841 from the Secretary of the Navy to the Secretary of the Treasury

I transmit the authority of the President for the transfer of the Revenue Cutters Jefferson, Madison and Van Buren to the jurisdiction of this department, for the purpose of being employed in connection with the Naval force on the coast of Florida in the suppression of Indian hostilities in cooperation with the Army,
