My 2 x Gt Uncle was pressed at "Hamlock" and later served as a seaman and later able seaman on "The Conqueror". As there is no such place as Hamlock and as he lived in Anglesey,we assumed it was Amlwch but there's no record annywhere of Pressing there. Any ideas anyone please?

Through the Fold3 website, I found a possible relation, Alexander Stewart. He is mentioned in the Men of Trafalgar Medal Roll 1803-1815. (HMS Conqueror, SB 374). I have tried to follow up on the National Archives website, but cannot find anything. I'm just going around in circles. Can anyone advise please.

Hi Hernan
You will need to see either (or both) the pay books and muster logs of the ship. These are held at the national Archive in Kew, but are not digitised.

Hello
I'm looking for information on the crew of the hms conqueror from 1793-1815
I am looking for a relative of mine whose last name is Smith and the name I am not sure is Jacob, born in Belfast

My ancestor served on HMS Conqueror at Trafalgar. He was a 'Private, Marine'. Do you know what that is?
Regards.
