Gosport, 10 January 1751: His Majesty’s sloops the Hazard and Savage are now in the harbour: They have been both cleaned; and it is strongly reported, that they are both to sail from Spithead to the Land’s End and back again, for a considerable wager. [Kentish Post, 19 January 1751]
