Howard Moore, Master of the Kennington, has sent a petition that he acted as Master by order of Sir Charles Hardy and asks to be paid. Have examined the ship's books, he is entered as Master in April 1759 by order of Sir Charles Hardy and continued until July 1760. William Owen, the proper Master, is borne for wages for the same time but the reason for his absence does not appear. Recommend he is discharged the 31st March and Mr. Moore paid for the time he acted
