London Gazette: 1704, Cowes, December 15. On the 12th instant, Her Majesty's ship Loo, homeward bound from Newfoundland, coming in at the Needles, unfortunately run ashore. The men were saved; and the ship, notwithstanding the great seas which the stormy weather had raised, sits upright, and it's hoped she may be got off.
