London, 6 March 1750: On Thursday the Monarque man of war came out of Portsmouth Harbour, being refitted; she is ordered to be rigged forthwith, in order to be stationed as a guardship; the command of which will be given to Captain Parker. [Kentish Post, 10 March 1750]
