He's not H.A. Nason, the officer in question is Arthur Hyde Nason a lieutenant of 1806. See his page for what little is known so far.

The Salisbury and Winchester Journal of Monday, 5 Oct 1807, p.3, carried the following report regarding HMS Racehorse:

“Lieut. H. A. Nason, of the Racehorse sloop of war, on the Guernsey station, was lately found dead in his cabin, having shot himself through the head, in a fit of insanity.”

Further information on Lieut. H. A. Nason's origins and service record would be appreciated.
