I believe there is an error here--under ships commanders, James Kearney White was transferred to temp command of HM Albion due to health of Charles Bayne Hodgson Ross around July 21 1814 and command of Thistle evolved to Lt Isaac Burch and then to James Montagu--I think that Henry Andrew Bates was assigned to the "tender" Thistle (HM Caledonia) and not HM Thistle in the Mediterranean in which he was attached from April to August 1814
