Extract of a letter from Milford, by a passenger who came up, express Jan 25. - Six sail of ships, part of the fleet from New York, have put in here; the left the first mentioned place on the 23rd last, under convoy of the Solebay of 28 guns. Houghton and Lioness armed ships. The Solebay carried away all her masts on the voyage, and was otherwise much damaged. The fleet consisted of 104 sail when they passed Sandy Hook. Near 100 sail of men of war and transports, with 10,000 troops on board, were lying there, all ready for sailing, and expected to depart two days after the departure of the above fleet for the southward.
