John Strutt Peyton was without doubt captain of the Thames in june 1813 Source: ADM 1 426. letter signed by him listing injured men in an explosión.

June 1813 HMS Thames takes part in artillery duel with french forces on the beach near Coll de Balaguer on the catalan coast. Explosion on board kills 12 sailors.
