Coderef:1984Source TypeBookAuthorsEnrique García-Torralba Pérez, LanguageSpanishPublisherFondo editorial de ingenieria naval, 2019/00/00GISBN978-84-939303-7-0Full Description

The book covers 33 classes of ships, from corvettes to guairos, from Asian barangayans to Caribbean flechettes. It includes 1,465 units identified by name, plus hundreds of others for which only the number of units is known. Altogether, the number of units described is almost 1,800.

For most of them, their dimensions and armament are given, as well as their physical characteristics, crews and, on occasion, their seafaring behaviour, commissioning and decommissioning; for most of them, slight references to their operational lives are contained.

Each class of ship is preceded by a study of it, including, in the more complicated ones, its handling and navigation, which is one of the most novel and useful aspects of the work. In support of the text, the work offers 87 tables of numerical data and 288 illustrations, many of which are ship plans, some of them unpublished.
