Will of Mathew Norwood, “Marriner and Master of their Majesties shipp Monmouth”), 26 July 1690, proved 6 Jan. 1692, PROB11/408/37, TNA.

If the will meant the yacht, it would have said "her Majestie's yacht Monmouth", so it meant the 3rd-rate. The Monmouth's muster books are in ADM 39, volumes 1979-1987 covering 1667-1686. Sir Rich. Haddock's genealogy in the Camden Miscellany Vol. 8, don't show a Thomas.

To find out which ship you would need to look at the ships muster books, if they still exist.
As to being a relative, who knows.

How may I determine whether Thomas Haddock, mariner aboard "her Majestie's ship Monmouth", who wrote his will on 6 Feb 1689-90 was on this ship or the other Monmouth, which was a yacht? His wife's name was Alice, no additional relatives mentioned.
Also, was Thomas related to Admiral Sir Richard Haddock?
