New York, 25 October 1780: The privateer brig Morbus, Capt Harris, of 12 guns, and 94 men, was sent in here last Friday by his Majesty’s frigate the Guadaloupe, Capt Robinson. Capt Robinson has also taken the ship Gen St Clair, Capt Curlin, from Statia to Philadelphia, of 20 guns, loaded with rum, silks, &c, and the brig Providence, from Hispaniola, Samuel Young master, with sugars, &c, for Philadelphia; in company with his Majesty’s ship Triton, Capt Lutwich. [Exeter Flying Post, 15 December 1780]
