On Saturday morning the Heron sloop of war, Captain Bentham, was released from quarantine at Portsmouth. She arrived on Thursday evening from Genoa, having landed there the restored slave money from Algiers for the King of Sardinia. Captain Bentham upon this occasion was honoured by His Majesty with the Knighthood and order of St. Maurice and St. Lawrence; and to a midshipman, who accompanied Captain Bentham in his Embassy, the King very kindly presented a diamond ring.
