Portsmouth, 7 February 1801: Sir Edward Berry commands the Princess Charlotte, a fine 38-gun frigate, now refitting at Woolwich. This gallant officer has seen so much hard and glorious service, that it is time that he had an opportunity of acquiring a share of fortune in the way of prize-money.
