Note - she was built at Northam, Southampton - not the Northam in Devon.

Portsmouth 13 April 1816: on Monday, the North Star, 20, Capt Bentham, arrived from Jamaica and Havannah, with mails, and upwards of one million of dollars – 631,000 on account of Government, 500,000 belonging to merchants. The former number she landed here, the latter she proceeded with to the River, on Thursday, being ordered to be paid off at Deptford. She left Jamaica on the 12th, and Havannah on the 29th of February…. The North Star fell in with the Forester, Capt Hendry, with 1,200,000 dollars on board, from Vera Cruz. The Tanais and Carnation, it was expected, would sail for England about the 26th of Feb with specie, which had been taken to Jamaica in the Emulous. Capt Coe, lately in command of the North Star, came home (invalided) in that ship. [Hampshire Telegraph, 15 April 1816]
