6th of july 1812 the Dictator attaced a danish forse off 1 frigate and 3 brigs at Lyngoer. The frigate, Najaden 42, was destroyed and sunk. 1 brig escaped, 2 was taken, Laaland and Kiel both 20, but they had to be given up due to heavy attacs from gunboats mounting 24# guns. The comander is said to be captain James P. Steward.
